Introducing ourselves

First, we wanted to get to know each other and so our project work started with the introductions. The Czech students filled in “squares” in a Power Point presentation and these squares became the sides of cubes made in www.picture trail.com. Each of the students also wrote a set of questions in order to make our partners busy and also to test, how carefully they have read the information on the cubes. These questions were turned into Hot Potatoes crosswords. We used the twinspace wiki to present both the information cubes and crosswords. The Polish students created a wonderful short film in which each of them had a short speech to introduce themselves. The film was accompanied by a really tough crossword. Besides that, each of the Polis students also produced a newsy Power Point presentation. The French students first prepared an interesting task for their partners – a secret message that we had to decode. After that they introduced via voki presentations and also sent the partners a set of photos and a document with the detailed descriptions of all the participating French students – it was a real challenge to match the names and the photos.

Song September

Mr Z. Svěrák and Mr. J. Uhlíř wrote and composed a lot of wonderful songs for children - "September" (in Czech "Září") is one of them. The Czech students from classes PRIMA and TERCIE (TERCIE students worked on this project !!!) learnt to sing this song in the music class and then got together to sing and record it for their eTwinning partners. They also prepared several tasks for their partners, e.g. questions about the lyrics that were translated into English.

Project logo

In September, soon after we started working on the project, we announced a LOGO competition. The students either in their ICT or art classes or on their own at home created wonderful drafts that were exhibited in the twinspace photo gallery – the deadline for posting the drafts is the end of October. Then all of the students had a chance to vote and choose the LOGO they liked best for the project.
